Skylanders Giants Is On The Top Of Santa’s List

Skylanders is a hugely popular game among children and tweens. Skylanders Giants is a follow up to the original game and was released in late October of 2012. The plot of the second game is that the Skylanders Giants are actually ancient Skylanders that were separated from the general population many years ago. Just like the original game, gamers use a portal to place their Skylanders figurines on. Here there figurines battle and solve puzzles in the game. When the gamer removes the figurine from the portal all the data is saved onto the figurine. Just like the name of the game suggests, Skylanders Giants has over forty new figurines that are twice the size of the original Skylanders. Gamers can still use figurines from the original game with the new game.

Other improvements have been noted in the new Skylanders game. Now each character has its’ own voice actor, giving the game a more personal feel. Players can also try to earn
achievement awards and trophies. A great feature for children, when they bring their figurine to a friend’s house to play their trophies will be announced as they place their figurine on the portal.

The game is sold for an average of $74 and includes three new Giant Skylanders figurines.

Trouble On Sesame Street

It seems that Sesame Street just can’t stay off the front page of the news lately. Big Bird was bought to the forefront this year when during a Presidential debate, Mitt Romney announced he would cut funding to programs such as PBS in which Sesame Street airs on. Suddenly Big Bird became one of the symbols of President Obama’s campaign as he promised to not cut funding for the popular show.

Recently, Kevin Clash who is the voice and puppeteer of Elmo, has been accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a then minor. Clash has taken leave from the show while the allegations are being brought to light. He has admitted that he had a relationship with the accuser, but only while he was a legal adult.

Other past scandals on Sesame Street include Katy Perry’s appearance. The skit was cut and not shown on the show as it was deemed overly sexual. Perry donned a skimpy outfit that left little to the imagination during the skit. Cookie Monster has also been changed to tell children to enjoy cookies in moderation, Bert and Ernie have been publicly stated to not be gay by producers and in 2011 the show’s website was hacked with porn images.

Schwarzenegger Wants to Save Marriage

Rumors say that the Governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has begged his wife, Maria Shriver, to fight for their marriage.

After news came out that Arnie was the father of a 13 year old son of the former housekeeper of the family, the couple split up. They had been together for 25 years. The Austrian-American actor/politician is not willing to give up so easily though and would really like to get another chance to prove he will be a better man. Schwarzenegger and Shriver have four children together, 2 girls and 2 boys aged 21 to 13.

Ian Halperin, writer of an unauthorized biography for Schwarzenegger, said that Arnold has been crying and knows that he was wrong. He has tried to contact Maria multiple times asking for another chance.

So far, however, it seems Maria is not willing to give him another chance. She has been seen having lunch with U2’s Bono for advice. Maria and Bono have a long friendship and Bono is just helping Maria deal with all things that have happened. It’s a huge shock to Maria that Arnold has been cheating on her for such a long time and she needs someone to talk about it.

Scandal For Duke’s Female Lacrosse Team

It seems that coaches may want to rethink their Halloween costume parties. At Duke University a controversy is brewing over a female lacrosse player’s choice of costume. The female lacrosse coach held a Halloween party in her home for the lacrosse players. A group of juniors choose to dress up as the cast of “Little Rascals”, complete with one player sporting a blackface to portray the character Buckwheat.

It was the hit of the party and a picture landed on Duke’s athletic website, it was later taken down. The coach has since issued an apology for offending those in the African American community and Duke has not answered if anyone involved will be punished. No word also on if the lacrosse program will be affected by this.

The controversy is still raging on as students are split about feeling if the costume was offensive or not. Yet many wonder why the coach, an adult, did not think of the possible repercussions that could take place over an insensitive costume.

“Jeleana”, On Or Off?

Which Hollywood couple is getting most of the attention these days? It’s seems that the on again off again Jeleana relationship is. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have seem to call it quits, again, recently. The couple have been dating for a couple of years and are both still teenagers. Which may explain why they break up as much as they get back together.

Sources vary as to why they have recently broken up. Some point to Bieber’s recent Victoria’s Secret fashion show appearance. While he seranded the audience with his songs during the show, pictures sufaced on Twitter of him serenading the models backstage. Gomez was not pleased and the Twitter pictures suddenly disappeared.

Other sources point to Miley Cryus. Bieber and Cryus have been friends for years and recently shot a show for MTV together. This also did not seem to go over well with Gomez. Yet many point out that Cryus is not looking for a romantic relationship with Bieber, she is already engaged to someone else.
