Case Closed on Mariah Carey’s Parental Skills
A case revolving around Mariah Carey and the safety and wellbeing of her children has been closed. Carey was under investigation after drinking beer while breast feeding her twins. The Department of Children and Family Services of L.A. County (DCFS) concluded that Carey was just following the advice of medical staff and that her children were in a safe and good environment.
The DCFS received an anonymous phone call saying Mariah Carey was drinking a glass of Guinness beer while breast feeding her kids. They felt this was a reason to investigate the matter and make sure the children were not at risk. As a response the DCFS have conducted an interview with Carey and investigated the health and safety conditions of her children.
Carey, whose lawyer was present at the interview, told social workers of DCFS during the interview that she was recommended to drink dark beer by hospital staff member to help lactating and was just following the advice of the medical staff. She didn’t deny or try to deny drinking the beer. After the interview and an investigation the DCFS concluded that the complaint was not a valid one.
